Snowplanet is New Zealand’s only indoor snow resort which is open every single day of the year. Located 35 minutes north of the Auckland CBD you can escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the adventure of Snowsports.

Oliver ‘Po’ Hudon is the head snowboard coach at Snowplanet, having competed professionally, now takes an active role in the success of New Zealand’s future generation of riders. He visited Banff in January 2019 with two of his students and I had the pleasure of riding along with them for the day

Joshua Li started snowboarding when he was 7 years old. In 2018 he began lessons with the 365 Freestyle program and started competing in Freestyle Snowboarding. The same year Joshua attended the Junior Nationals and was the overall winner in the Under 10 category. Joshua’s first offshore training was in Banff, Canada, in January 2019.Whilst in North America he came 3rd in the Heavy Metal Rail Jam at Lake Louise ski resort. He was the youngest in the Under 15 category. Everybody else was 13/14 years old. Talk about impressive! 🏅❄️

Jordan Rudgley started snowboarding in 2014. It initially started as a way of making friends; but after discovering a real love for the sport, his confidence grew and grew. Jordan now lives in Wanaka to be closer to the mountains and rides park at Treble Cone, Cardrona and The Remarkables.
